Artist Statement
I am a ceramic artist and print maker. I work with a range of ceramic processes from slip casting to throwing. However my heart lies with the wheel and the meditative act of throwing. Surface is an important aspect of my work. I use different print making techniques to build up layers on my forms.
I work out of my home studio along the river Thames, my work is inspired by both my surrounding area and concepts of memory and storytelling.
I graduated in 2020 with a BA in Ceramics from the University of the Creative Arts.
I am now currently working as a potter and educator. I am passionate in teaching and sharing my skills in order to help people find their own artist voice. I am also interested in the healing and positive benefits of creativity, and how it can be used to help with mental health, confidence and self-worth.
